Boats and Reflections in Watercolour | Szczepan Urbanowicz

Boats and Reflections in Watercolour | Szczepan Urbanowicz

This is a 2-day watercolour workshop dealing with all things nautical and specifically “Sailing boats & reflections”.
Szczepan (Stefan) loves boats – especially sailing boats and he has spent a lot of time drawing, sketch, painting, designing and building them. Join Szczepan for this intensive watercolour workshop to understand and conquer all aspects of sketching and watercolour painting sailing boats.

What will I learn?

This workshop is intended to be a relaxing environment for watercolour artists of “intermediate” skill levels to participate in a structured learning and interactive environment. It aims to extend each student’s existing skills by using well understood watercolour techniques in “easy to follow”, step by step painting methods.

We will be covering such things as
• understanding boat form
• how to draw and understand boat forms from all sides and angles
• boats on water including shadows, reflections and waterlines
• understanding reflections with still and rough water
• nautical theme compositions

We will generally aim to complete 2 paintings per day with a number of smaller exercises/ studies to understand different aspects as noted above.
