Terms and Conditions

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Bienarté reserves the right to amend any class, tutor or schedule. In such circumstances, we will endeavour to provide a substitute of equal standing. Should a course or workshop be cancelled, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted and an alternative class, credit or refund arranged. Any out-of-pocket expenses already committed to, such as pre-arranged travel costs, unfortunately cannot be recompensed. If you are travelling, please contact Bienarte to confirm the course/workshop is going ahead 


Full payment must be made upon enrolment. Bienarté cannot accept responsibility for changes to students' personal circumstances that prevent attendance. Classes missed are the students' responsibility and are non-refundable. Students are not entitled to a discount or ‘make-up’ class if they miss a class for any course or workshop, they are enrolled in.

Cancellation of Enrolment

If you choose to withdraw or change your enrolment to another course or workshop prior 30 days of its commencement, *you will be credited 100% and we will apply $50 administrative fee.

If you choose to withdraw from a course or workshop within 30 days of its commencement, you will forfeit 50% of the class fee as we are contracted to the tutors.

If you choose to withdraw from a course or workshop within 14 days of its commencement, you will forfeit 100% of the class fee as we are contracted to the tutors.

There are no transfers, refunds or make up sessions if you miss a class because of your personal circumstances change.

Bienarté is not responsible for loss of monies paid for accommodation and/or flights in the event a workshop is cancelled nor is responsible for disruption or cancellation of flights by an airline causing a participant to miss the workshop.

It is recommended that participants take out travel insurance in the event of having to cancel a booking, due to unforeseen circumstances. The insurance policy should include Travel/Accommodation Costs, cover against personal accident, medical expenses, emergency repatriation and personal liability.

Payment of Fees

Class fees are listed with the course details on our website. Payment of the full class fee via online credit card payment is required at the time of enrolment to secure your place. We accept Visa and Master Card.
If you do not wish to enrol via the web, you can enrol over the phone. We accept Visa or Master Card, online direct deposits into our bank account, cash and cheques. Fees are inclusive of GST and tax receipts will be provided on receipt of payment.

Gift Certificates

‘Purchased’ gift certificates are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase or until the date listed on the certificate if longer than 3 years. Our Cancellation and Refund policy applies to ‘Purchased’ gift certificates used to pay for classes. The gift vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.

Art Materials

Materials lists for classes are included in the class information on the websites. Students are required to supply their own art materials unless otherwise specified in the course or workshop description.

Course Recognition

Bienarté is not a Registered Training Organisation and as such, courses are not accredited. However, we do strive to deliver excellence in art education. A Record of Attendance can be provided by request on completion of a course or workshop.

Bienarté Marketing

From time to time we take photos or videos during class of students and artworks. These photos are used for Bienarté promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials and website. These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for Bienarté. As a Condition of Enrolment, your consent is implied. Should you not wish for us to take and use photos of you, your child or your artwork please notify us in writing.

All students signing up to Bienarté classes or workshops will be subscribed to our occasional newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Student Conduct

Bienarté is a shared space and we expect students to respect fellow artists, artwork and property. Discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age, race sex, gender, sexuality, marital status, physical or intellectual disability, or religion will not be tolerated. Any inappropriate or disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the class. In this instance refund of any course fees will be forfeited.
It should also be noted that cleaning of your class art space and common areas is a shared responsibility.

Punctuality

Out of respect for other students and tutors, students are requested to be punctual for class. If you plan to arrive after the course or workshop has commenced, please provide a curtesy call to the office and we will notify the tutor.

Privacy

Contact information you supply to Bienarté will not be disclosed outside the school without your express consent, except where required by law. We do not retain any credit card information that you may provide.

Bienarté – Student Policy

Expectations of students

Students are to arrive on time for courses and workshops. Preferably arrive 15 minutes early.
Students are responsible to keep their working area clean and tidy. All tools will be cleaned and returned to their respective areas by the end of class.

Students must notify Bienarté of changes to personal details.

Students must wear or bring appropriate attire suitable for painting classes. Painting aprons are available.

Students are not to hinder other students' ability to listen and learn during classes.

Any student who disrupts classes or is abusive, threatening or violent will be asked to leave and may result in removal from the course. In this instance refund of any course fees will be forfeited.

Mobile phones are to be turned to silent during all classes. Please restrict calls to breaks or leave the studio.
It is the student’s responsibility to collect their own artwork. Any art uncollected at the end of Term will be discarded unless special arrangements are made with Bienarté.

When using all materials and equipment provided by Bienarté, students are required to observe and follow the instructions available relating to cleaning, handling and storing.

Sometimes, due to unforeseen circumstances, a class may be cancelled unexpectantly. Students are advised to check their telephone messages before coming to class. Any cancelled class by Bienarté will be rescheduled.

Students unable to attend a class should advise Bienarté by phone, text or email prior to the class starting, as stated above. If running late, please notify Bienarté as a courtesy to your Tutor.

The online Foundations in Oils is sold as its own entity, with lifetime access, and does not form part of the Face-to-Face Foundations in Oils class. However, where a student Where a student is unable to attend a Foundations In Oils class in person, they have the option of purchasing the relevant lesson in video format for their continuous learning. Work Health and Safety Policy

Bienarté is committed to the active promotion of Work Health and Safety for all tutors and students.

Tutors and Students are responsible for their own health, safety and welfare. Students are asked to be mindful of other students regarding their health and safety within the studio environment.

Students should report unsafe conditions, faulty equipment and accidents to the Tutor immediately.

Students should abide by safe practices and comply with health and safety regulation.

Valuables

Bienarté accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal items or art materials belonging to students.

Student Work

Bienarté accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage to student work left in the studio. Students are encouraged to take their work home when finished unless required for the next class.

Pricing

All prices on this site are in Australian dollars and are subject to change. Prices include GST (if any) unless otherwise marked. An invoice/receipt will be issued on successful enrolment or purchase.

Special considerations for COVID-19

Cancelations of Workshops by us
If we cancel a course or workshop before it starts, students will receive a full refund.
If we are forced to stop a workshop due to COVID-19, where possible we will continue it via Zoom or video link. Where this is not possible the reamaining workshop will either be rescheduled or a part-refund will be offered, depending on the circumstances at the time.

If you choose to withdraw or change your enrolment to another course or workshop prior to 7 days of its commencement, you will receive a full credit and we will waive $50 administrative fee. These credits are available to be used for any future course and workshop in the following 12 months. All requests must be placed in writing and emailed to team@bienarte.com.au

Should you need to withdraw from a class due to enforced isolation, please provide a medical certificate in advance of the class starting.

Please note that for less than 7 days notice, we will review your circumstances and do our best to help. Time allowing, we will always try to find a replacement for your spot. Please email us at team@bienarte.com.au
