Lauren Jones is a visual artist based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Working primarily in oils, her feminine portraits and still life scenes capture fleeting moments in time. Executed with bold, immediate brushstrokes, her paintings are both evocative and impressionistic, exquisitely showcasing the materiality of paint while celebrating the process of painting itself. 

Born in 1989 in Queensland, Jones completed a Bachelor of Arts (Creative Literature) at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2009, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Art (Painting) from Monash University in 2012. 

She currently works from her studio in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Queensland.
