Seascape in Oils for Beginners | Marcel Desbiens
Learn to paint the frozen moment of a gentle rolling wave on the beach with a view on the background environment, grassy headland and textured sand. Capture the transparency, colour and texture of the water movement by using the right brush strokes and variation between translucence of colours and opacity of the white.
In this one day workshop, you will learn a quick and easy way to paint a realistic representation of water and grass – still and in motion. Marcel’s expertise and easy to learn techniques developed over the years of experimentation and research, will enable you to achieve instant results.
Be assured that if you have completed a few of Marcel's seascape workshops, Marcel will have a different image to paint on the day.
What will I learn?
Through step-by-step demonstrations and ‘hands-on’ exercises, you will learn how to:
• capture the effects of the transparency of water, using layering techniques
• choose the right brushes and mediums to reproduce highly realistic effects

• recreate the emotional value of water.
A new image to be painted will be presented on the day.
