Create Your Own Surface Pattern Design | Rachael King
Have you ever wanted to learn how to turn your artworks into a repeatable pattern design that can be showcased on fabric, homewares and stationary?
About this workshop
Join Brisbane Surface Pattern Designer Rachael King - author of Pattern Pulse Vol 1 & 2 - as she takes you through the steps to creating your own hand-drawn repeat tile. Learn how you can create a repeat tile that is ready to upload to a print-on-demand site for fabric or homewares. And enjoy your choice of tea or coffee with cake at the same time!
After an introduction to Repeat Tiles and how they work, you will be shown three design styles, and three demonstrations while working in brush pens and fine-liners, including:
- Graphic Floral
- Rainbow and Clouds
- A Dense Doodle in black fine-liner
You will then scan the images and be shown the process for uploading to a professional printing site, should you wish to take your design further.
