Lake Reflections in Oils | Marcel Desbiens

Inject luminosity and life into your water paintings! Water is fluid, shapeshifting, perpetually in motion, reflective, cooling and refreshing. During this one-day workshops, you will achieve a realistic representation of still water on a moody morning light.

What will I learn?

Paint beautiful lake reflections with step-by-step demonstrations and “hands-on” exercises, you will learn how to:

• achieve a quick and easy way to paint water, both still and with a light breeze.
• use a methodology to save hours of experimentation and research.
• reproduce reflection effects using transparent and opaque colours
• choose the right medium and brushes which will make the process a breeze!

Who is this workshop suitable for?

Suitable for all skill levels, however, a basic knowledge of oil paints is recommended.

What do I need to bring?

• Bring your lunch and snacks or you can purchase from cafes close by. We do have a fridge and microwave at the studio for your convenience.

What is provided

•All painting materials, including paints, brushes, easels
• tea, coffee and biscuits (please bring your own cup)
