Paint a Flower in Watercolour for Beginners | Jessie Ford
We are delighted to announce that Jessie Rose Ford, Melbourne based artist is coming back to Brisbane!
We will include all the materials needed for this workshop, all you need to do is show up!
Prior to the invention of photography, botanical art was the only way of documenting plant life. In recent years though, botanical art has experienced a resurgence, not only as a means of capturing the uniqueness of plants and flowers and contributing to scientific and environmental research, but as an art form in its own right.
In this one day workshop, award winning, Victorian-based botanical artist, Jessie Rose Ford, will show you how to capture the tulip in watercolour.
Under Jessie’s guidance you can learn the time-honoured techniques of botanical art and discover why Jessie and many others have developed a passion for this art form.
What will I learn?
Jessie will guide you through her step-by-step process to create your own botanical watercolour painting, including:
• how to draw your subject accurately
