About this class
This class is designed for complete beginners and will walk you through fundamental practices and concepts that will vastly improve your understanding of the drawing process, and provide you with the tools to draw any scenario.
What will I learn?
Learning to draw is all about learning to see. This class will show you how to utilise a classical method of drawing wherein complicated drawings are broken down into simple abstract shapes.
You will learn various methods of measuring to ensure accuracy of your drawing. From there, you will learn the process for identify shadow and light, and how to properly shade in your shapes to give life-like form to your drawings.
Who is this course suitable for?
This workshop is designed for complete beginners, as well as those with intermediate knowledge looking to learn the Atelier method for drawing.

Meet the Artist
Natalie Popovski (AKA Nat Pop) is an artist based on the Gold Coast who has been exhibiting for the last 4 years. Her mediums range from watercolour, to oil paints, to ceramics.
Her latest exhibition was a solo show at the prestigious Tweed Regional Gallery, and in 2022 she was a finalist in the National Emerging Artist Prize hosted in Sydney.
As a facilitator, Natalie is passionate about teaching art, both from a technical and conceptual side. In 2021 Natalie studied at the Rob Gutteridge Ateliar School of Natural Realism in South Australia and is passionate about passing on these learnings to other artists.
Natalie is also the co-founder of Mint Art House, a collaborative studio in Burleigh made up of 15 artists of varying disciplines. Mint acts as her working studio, as well as a gallery and event space.
