In this workshop, Jessie will guide you through her step-by-step process to create your own realistic drawing and painting of a lime. This is suitable for absolute beginners - no experience required.

Jessie will introduce to you the foundations in realistic drawing and painting watercolour techniques, specifically for use on botanicals, while learning the process of layering watercolours to achieve a realistic painting. 

What will I learn?

You will gain an understanding in:

• An easy way to transfer a simple outline drawing to watercolour paper
• Basic colour theory
• Matching and mixing the correct colour
• Watercolour techniques including wet-in-wet, blending and dry brush and when to use them
• How to avoid muddy watercolour paintings
• An appreciation for the minutiae of nature!
