Botanical Flowers in Watercolour 2-Day Workshop | Jessie Rose Ford
We are delighted to announce that Jessie Rose Ford is coming back to Brisbane!
In this two-day workshop Jessie will guide you through her step-by-step process to create your own botanical painting of a Banksia Cone from a photograph. Over the two days you will be shown how to master important watercolour techniques, specifically for use on botanicals, while learning the process of layering watercolours to achieve a realistic painting.
We will also have the real plants available to observe the details that can get missed in photographs.
What will I learn?
• An easy method for transferring an outline drawing from your photograph
• Basic colour theory
• Matching and mixing the correct colour
• Using masking fluid
• Watercolour techniques including wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry and dry brush
• How to avoid muddy watercolour paintings
Who is this workshop suitable for?
This workshop welcomes students of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced.
What do I need to bring?
Rent a paint pack which includes access to watercolour, paper and brushes for $40 for the 2 days.
