Learn how to draw your own beautiful and realistic botanical drawings over this 3-week course. 

These classes provide a friendly and encouraging environment to help you build confidence in observational drawing in the field of botanical art.

What will I learn?

Jessie will guide you through her step-by-step process she uses to create realistic drawings of plants and flowers. Each week we will focus on a different subject, allowing you to explore how to approach different subjects, from a large gumnut to a foreshortening leaf, to a simple flower.

·       Lighting and what to look for 

·       Observing light, shade and form

·       Understanding basic anatomy through simple line drawing

·       How to use different pencils for a realistic effect

·       Different mark making

·       An appreciation for the minutiae of nature!
