About the workshop
Total beginners will be introduced to watercolour techniques useful for a range of themes.
No drawing skills are required as references will be provided to transfer. Those with some previous experience in watercolour are also welcome, so they can enjoy learning the process of painting flowers and learning how to create a soft background.
As all the professional quality materials are supplied for this workshop, students will quickly gain insights into equipment needed to continue their watercolour journey. The exact subjects for this one day workshop will be confirmed at the workshop.
Who is this workshop suitable for?
Although this workshop is designed for beginners in watercolour, those with some previous experience are also welcome.
What do I need to bring?
Use of all painting materials will be available.
Please bring your lunch and snacks or you can purchase from cafes close by.

About the Tutor
Jan Lawnikanis has been teaching art classes consistently for the past 26 years and tutored over 200 workshops in a variety of media. Students have praised Jan for her teaching skills and preparation which has gained her an excellent reputation with all ages.
Jan has been the featured artist in Australian Artist Magazine, with 5 full-length articles on using coloured pencils. Other publications include the Paradise Magazine-GC Bulletin, Art Newsflash, the International Watercolour Institute catalogue, the Coloured Pencil Magazine, the Australian Coloured Pencil Network, Art Edit magazine and Artwise textbook for the Australian Curriculum.
