What will I learn?
You will learn to handle proportion, tone and individual likeness using simple and effective techniques.
Working from an image of your own eye, you will create an individual artwork and explore personal expression, within a carefully structured class.
Who is this workshop suitable for?
No drawing skills are required for this course, so it is suitable for absolute beginners, as well as for anyone who would like to begin to develop their skills in portraiture and graphite.
What do I need to bring?
Materials list.
2B graphite pencil.
4B graphite pencil.
6B graphite pencil.
8B graphite pencil.
Tissues for blending.
Pencil sharpener.
David will take a high res photo of your eye as a reference, so an iPad or tablet for use as reference if possible.
What is provided?
Photos can be printed if necessary. You are of course welcome to bring your own photo if so desired.
David will supply paper, but you are welcome to bring a sketch book for taking notes and of course sketching.
